Hull City’s Mo Diame to Have Surgery on Troublesome Knee

Diame, who has made 12 appearances for Hull this season, has not played since last month’s 2-0 defeat at Southampton.
The 27-year-old scored four goals in his first five outings for Hull following his £3.5m deadline day move from West Ham in September.

“Diame is out. He’s seen a specialist and will have an operation on Tuesday,” Bruce said at his news conference ahead of the Tigers’ home game against Burnley.
He earlier missed over three months of football owing to his niggling tendon problem.

Meanwhile, Bruce is weighing up the possibility of having striker Nikica Jelavic back with the first team after his substitute appearance in the defeat at Arsenal on Monday night. The club’s leading goal scorer suffered a knee injury in mid-March but “has trained for the last ten or eleven days.”
Bruce added: “It’s good that he is in the equation and he was always determined to play a part in the last few games despite two knee operations this season. He’s made himself available and he gives us that option. He’ll be used one way or another.”
